SAN CLEMENTE, CA – MARCH 24, 2011 – Taka-O Restaurant’s Hana Martini has been awarded San Clemente’s 2011 official drink award at the 2011 drink contest! The Hana Martini (recipe below) is a blend of rum, raspberry liqueur, peach Schnapps, and fruit-infused vodka garnished with an orchid. The award shows Taka-o Restaurant’s continued excellence in providing outstanding food and drink service!
The Hana Martini was developed by Taka-O’s very own mixologist and bartender, Michael Swain! We are very proud to have Michael on our staff. “Hana” means flower in Japanese, which the martini proudly deserves with its fruity rum and vodka notes. To win the competition, the delicate drink recipe had to be perfectly executed. We welcome you and your friends to come and try our delicious new award-winning martini, and allow our bartending staff make it perfectly every time!
Hana Martini Recipe:
X-Rated Fusion, fruit-infused vodka liqueur
Chambord, raspberry liqueur
Orchid as garnish
Fill needed martini glasses with ice. Set aside. Blend one part each of X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, Malibu Rum and Peach Schnapps over ice in a martini shaker. Cover and shake vigorously. Remove ice from glasses. Strain mixture into glasses. Drizzle Chambord*. Add pineapple juice to taste. Garnish with orchid. Enjoy!
